What You Need To Know
This webinar is about the post-World War II experience of German immigrants in Canada.  It explores how Germans were regarded in this country and the trickle-down effect on their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Special guest, Jess Richter, is an artist who based her masters thesis on this subject.  Her work continues to build on this theme as she seeks to define and express the collective experience of many.  In the process, she invites everyone to consider the impact of their family history, regardless of their background.
Jess will guest-host the webinar with Flex ED high school teacher, Vanessa Richter,  in which they'll share the impact of their heritage, most notably how it has informed and shaped Jess' calling as an artist. They will also explore and discuss the connective threads between anyone who has had to rebuild their life from the ground up.
